In contrast, Star Sports showed a stronger swing in Mamdani’s favor. The bookmaker’s odds for the assemblyman tightened from 1/14 (93.3 percent) before the debate to 1/25 (96.2 percent) afterward.
Cuomo’s chances simultaneously worsened, moving from 6/1 (14.3 percent) to 8/1 (11.1 percent). These shifts indicate that despite heated exchanges, Mamdani’s support remains firm.

William Kedjanyi, political betting analyst at Star Sports, told Newsweek that Mamdani’s position now appears virtually unassailable. “After the final New York City mayoral debate, it looks to be all over for Andrew Cuomo,” Kedjanyi said.
“Mamdani was already heavily odds-on at 1/14 but has since shortened further to 1/25. Nothing seems to have dented his progress.”
